Week 6 in the Land of the Nephites
As we ended the last installment, we were posting at 10 pm Sunday night. This week was more fun (really). We were asked to speak in Sacrament Meeting on any Conference talk we liked. The Spirit indicated I should use Sister Cordon's talk on Trust in the Lord and not lean on thy own understanding. We spent all week working on our talks, our Youth Sunday School lesson and my Priesthood lesson based upon Elder Stevenson's Help from the Holy Ghost.
All week I would approach the talk, one time even looking at using a President Eyring September 2006 talk on Gifts of the Spirit. None of that felt right. Yesterday I prayed at the Temple for some help. (In character for the talk, right?) Last night I woke up at 2 and the whole thing unfolded for me. (No Mom, I did not write it down or record it; not permitted to record, anyway.)
Today the talks went very well, except Sandy ambushed me, leaving me 25 minutes to talk. I only used 22. When the Spirit said sit down, I did. I discussed that there were no coincidences and we shouldn't think we are smarter than the Lord or that He should do things our way.
Both lessons went well with lots of participation.
In the Temple there was one proxy sealing I participated in where the couple was definitely present. It was a wonderful feeling. We also finished the work for William Robinson and Mary Morley.
We also bought a little camp wagon to wheel our laundry back and forth, the weight is breaking the plastic baskets. We are really settling in living like this. (Even so, we are looking forward to getting back into our house.)

Wish we could have heard your talk. Thanks for sharing how the spirit is helping you! Love the Hicken's!
